The execution field in Beijing

And I’m going to attend
An execution by lingchi

The convict is taken to the post
He is a thin young man

They’re tying him by a rope
And by his polytail

He’s still immune of all wounds,
But his gruesome journey has just begun

A pale grin across his face
An otherworldly plastered smile

Through the stage of lingchi
Through what you can only imagine
A transfigured phantom
Looking to the sky

The Chief executor starts
untying Convict's arms,
in order
to carve them

The executioner's blade
Slowly enters into the convict's left knee
The victim’s face seems "extatic"
His hair "risen"

Limbs have cut off one at time
Large chunks of skin are removed from the chest
Working on the right leg
Desarticulating it at knee level

Next to the final step
The executioner raises his knife
And stabs the convict
To the heart
